Meet the Coaches

Justin Cox is the head coach for the Beaverton High School Boys Lacrosse team.  Justin graduated from Century High School in 2008, playing both lacrosse and football. Justin went on to continue his lacrosse career at Western Oregon University from 2008-2012 where he was the club team president and captain his junior and senior year, winning 4 straight league titles at Western Oregon. Justin has been the Defensive Coordinator at Sherwood, Southridge and Tigard and has coached for 6 years at Lacrosse Northwest as an assistant and head coach. He still runs and plays for the Men's Rippers team..

Justin has a passion for coaching, lacrosse and teaching character through sport. He looks forward to having his wife Tiffany and their 2 1/2 year old son JJ cheering on the Beavers from the sidelines.

Scott Bates is the assistant head coach for the Beaverton High School Boys Lacrosse team.  Scott brings a wealth of lacrosse experience, having played at El Toro High School (CA) and Boise State University. As a coach, he's committed to not only developing players' skills but also their character. His goal is to help every athlete grow into better individuals, emphasizing values like teamwork, integrity, and resilience. He emphasizes two things, “care about your teammates” and “put the ball in the goal.”

Riley Drullinger is the head coach for the Beaverton High School Girls Lacrosse team. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Riley is a recent alum and former starting goalkeeper for the University of California, Berkeley women’s lacrosse team. In high school, she was a 2x US Lacrosse All-American (2018-2019), 1x US Lacrosse Academic All-American (2018), Adrenaline All-American (2019), and a member of Oregon’s National Team (2016 and 2018).

Aside from playing, Riley has coached since her junior year of high school (2017). She is currently the head goalie coach/defensive coordinator for Oregon Pride 2025’s, and an Assistant coach for the 2029s. In the Bay Area she worked with Berkeley Lacrosse Club, the Tenacity Project, and Skyline lacrosse club.
